Areas Around Lake Arrowhead
Lake Arrowhead's official address is located in the town of Waleska. Waleska is named after the daughter of an Indian Chief name Warluskee. When she was moved to the West her friends, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Reinhardt named the town after her. Historically the industry of Waleska included tobacco, grist mills, lumbering and mineral development. The primary "industry" of the town however is Reinhardt College, located very near Lake Arrowhead.
